Proforce Law Enforcement

I had a great experience with the employees at this store who were very knowledgeable and helpful in addressing my needs for a defense/duty pistol. However, due to the current pandemic situation, their inventory of ammo and pistols is quite low. Nonetheless, the staff remained friendly and accommodating. I appreciate their assistance and would recommend this store to anyone in need of such services.

I’m not sure what the issue is with the employees here. I’ve come in several times over the years or called with a question, only to be treated rudely or with indifference. I always try to treat employees of establishments with respect and kindness because I know they deal with entitled and rude people often. I’ll usually chalk up a bad experience to an “off day” for the employee, and rarely write bad reviews without giving a place a fair shake. This is not one of those situations. We’re talking several experiences over years. The final, most recent was the other day when I called to ask if they FFL’d ammunition. The employee flatly replied that they don’t. I then respectfully asked if they knew of a place that did. I was snapped back at with, “No. We don’t deal with that kind of thing.” I asked, “So you mean to say you have numerous deputies and officers in there every day, and not once has anyone asked about ammo FFL’s or conversed with you about a good place to do so?” Again I got snapped back at saying no. I finally became irritated and stated, “Thank you for reminding me of why I stopped shopping there.” That was the end of the conversation. Look, I’m not some snowflake who was born yesterday. I’ve been in LE for 17 years and know how to deal with rude people. This is a classic case of a business having a built in customer base by sheer default and thinking they can treat customers with disrespect simply because they may be the only game in town. The problem for Proforce is they aren’t, and I’ll gladly pay more for better service somewhere else. That includes driving all the way to downtown LA or out to Pomona. I know others have had different experiences here than I have, but I have also heard similar stories to mine from other LEO’s. So, that was the last time I’ll deal with them at all. The plan was to purchase several firearms after this holiday season. This place won’t be where I do it.
